Job summary

Michael Page International (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking an experienced Air Export Operations Leader to oversee a 24/7 team and ensure accurate documentation and timely handover to cargo terminals.

You will coordinate with airlines, customers, and internal stakeholders, drive process improvements, and ensure ISO/GDP/TAPA compliance while expanding regional exposure.5+ years in airfreight with 2+ years in leadership, strong Excel skills, and fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin are

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in airfreight forwarding with 2+ years in a team leadership role.
• Diploma or above in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of air export operations, documentation, and cargo terminal procedures.
• Knowledge of Hong Kong Customs regulations; IATA Dangerous Goods awareness preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office; English, Cantonese and Mandarin are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily air export operations and support the Air Gateway & Procurement Senior Manager in a 24/7 team.
• Ensure timely processing of export documentation and shipment handover to cargo terminals.
• Coordinate with airlines, cargo terminals, customers, and internal stakeholders for smooth shipment execution.
• Lead operational projects including customer implementations, process improvements, and network enhancements.
• Act as coordinator between Operations, Procurement, Commercial, IT, and overseas teams.
• Investigate operational issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Support quality management programs and maintain ISO, GDP, and TAPA compliance.
• Monitor KPIs, drive continuous improvement, and support system enhancements and transformation projects.
• Hands-on experience managing air freight projects and operational implementations.

• Act as the key coordinator between Operations, Procurement, Commercial, IT, and overseas teams to drive successful project delivery.
• Investigate operational issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve service reliability.
• Support quality management programs and maintain compliance with ISO, GDP, TAPA, and other industry standards.
• Monitor operational KPIs, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support system enhancements and transformation projects.
• Hands-on experience managing air freight projects and operational implementations.

The Successful Applicant

• At least 5 years of experience in airfreight forwarding, with at least 2 years in a team leadership role.
• Diploma or above in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of air export operations, documentation, and cargo terminal procedures.
• Knowledge of Hong Kong Customs regulations and import/export processes Valid IATA Dangerous Goods Awareness Certificate is preferred.
• Familiarity with process improvement, project coordination, or operational excellence initiatives.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
• Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
