Job summary

SMBC Group in Hong Kong is seeking an HR Operations professional to oversee compensation and benefits, payroll processing, and related governance. You will coordinate payroll platforms, provident fund matters, and annual tax reporting while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role covers employee lifecycle support, HR policies, and engagement activities, with emphasis on accurate data and cross‑functional collaboration. Strong HK HR knowledge and systems experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree holder and HR background with strong payroll/benefits knowledge.
• 5–8 years’ relevant HR experience in a dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of HK Employment Ordinance, MPF and HR statutory requirements.
• Understanding of payroll, taxation, benefits administration, and retirement schemes.
• Hands-on computer skills including spreadsheets and HRIS.
• Less experienced candidates may be considered as Senior Associate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end compensation and benefits operations, ensuring accurate payroll processing and related reporting.
• Administer payroll platforms and coordinate related activities for smooth operations.
• Manage provident fund administration, contributions, and annual employer tax reporting.
• Administer employee benefits programs including insurance and renewals.
• Coordinate provident fund audits and liaise with external auditors.
