The HR Manager serves as a business partner to senior management, aligning HR strategy with business objectives across HK & Taiwan. This role advises leadership on workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, talent management, and employee relations, while ensuring HR programs are executed consistently. The HR Manager will be equally comfortable working with regional executives and rolling up their sleeves to manage day-to-day HR operations including talent acquisition, talent development, employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee relations. The ideal candidate is a trusted advisor who can communicate effectively with senior leadership and personally execute operational HR work.
Role and Responsibilities
- Support managers in driving high-performing and effective teams while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture
- Advise stakeholders on employee relations matters, organizational changes, and people-related decisions
- Translate business goals into practical HR plans and priorities
- Advise on recruitment, performance management, succession planning, and leadership development
- Handle employee relations, coach managers, and drive engagement and retention
- Manage onboarding, offboarding, employee data, and recordkeeping
- Work closely with APAC Shared Service Centers to ensure smooth execution of HR administration and operational processes
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, headcount management, and workforce planning activities
- Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and people analytics to support business decision-making
- Lead end-to-end recruitment activities to attract and retain high-quality talent aligned with business growth plans
- Partner with hiring managers to ensure effective workforce planning and timely hiring execution
- Support talent review, succession planning, and performance management processes in line with the Company’s guidelines
- Contribute to leadership and employee development initiatives to strengthen organizational capability
- Provide guidance on local labor law and HR policies to ensure compliant people practices
- Manage employee relations matters in partnership with business leaders, support organizational changes and employee lifecycle processes while ensuring compliance and a positive employee experience
- Manage separation cases in cooperation with SSC and Legal teams to ensure compliance and minimize business risk
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in an HR Business Partner or HR Manager role supporting senior leadership
- Experience in retail, luxury, fashion, FMCG, cosmetics, or other multinational consumer-facing industries is preferred. Exposure to regional or multi-country HR environments is preferred
- Solid HR generalist knowledge across recruitment, employee relations, talent management, performance management, and organizational development
- Strong working knowledge of labor law and HR compliance requirement and best practices
- Strong business acumen and stakeholder management skills
- Solid project management and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience in budgeting, workforce planning, and HR reporting is preferred
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at the executive level
- Comfortable working independently in a lean and agile environment, with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution
