Job summary

HR Plus has an opportunity for a seasoned HR Director to lead the HR and Admin function in a Hong Kong-based SME private equity firm. The role reports to senior leadership and shapes staffing, recruitment, and retention strategies across the organization.

The successful candidate will develop policies, coordinate compensation and benefits, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage HR programs while guiding a team to drive organizational performance and employee engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in HR management or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of HR management experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with senior leadership to understand staffing, recruiting, and retention goals.
• Plans and implements HR policies, processes, training, and surveys to support HR strategy.
• Oversees compensation, benefits, leave, and performance/talent management programs.
• Identifies staffing and recruitment needs and develops best practices for hiring and talent management.
• Ensures compliance with local employment laws and updates policies accordingly.
• Keeps abreast of HR/regulatory changes and communicates policy updates to management.
• Develops and implements departmental budget.
• Performs other duties as required.

Our client is aSME private equity firm in Hong Kong. With the rapid expansion, they are looking for a seasonedHR Director to join and lead the team for theirHR and Admin function.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organizations goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
• Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organizations human resource compliance and strategy needs.
• Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
• Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
• Monitors and ensures the organizations compliance with local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
• Develops and implements departmental budget.
• Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in human resource management or related field required.
• At least ten years of human resource management experience required.
