Our client is a growing and diversified group with operations across multiple markets. As the business continues to expand, they are looking to appoint a senior HR leader to strengthen the Group HR function and take ownership of the people agenda across the organisation.
This is a broad, hands-on HR leadership opportunity suited to an experienced HR Director, Head of HR or Senior HR Manager who is comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels.
You will work closely with senior management and business leaders across different markets, providing practical HR advice while building the structure, processes and capabilities needed to support the Group's continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Chairman, senior management and business leaders on HR strategy, organisational and workforce matters.
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the Group's business objectives and expansion plans.
- Strengthen the Group's HR framework, including policies, processes, systems, governance and organisational structure.
- Lead workforce planning, organisational design, succession planning, talent development and capability-building initiatives.
- Review existing HR practices and identify opportunities to improve processes, consistency and effectiveness across the Group.
- Develop and enhance performance management, compensation & benefits and employee retention strategies.
- Work with regional business leaders to ensure HR policies are appropriately aligned with local employment requirements while maintaining suitable Group-wide standards.
- Drive initiatives around culture, employee engagement and organisational development across different markets and cultural environments.
- Lead and develop the existing HR team, providing direction, coaching and support across both strategic and operational matters.
- Identify people-related issues proactively and provide practical recommendations to senior management.
- Support the Group on ad hoc HR, organisational and transformation initiatives as the business evolves.
What We're Looking For
We are open to candidates at HR Director, Head of HR or Senior HR Manager level, depending on the individual's breadth of experience and current scope.
You should ideally bring:
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including meaningful exposure to HR leadership, regional HR or senior HR business partnering.
- Experience working across multiple countries or regions, ideally within an international or geographically diverse organisation.
- A track record of building, strengthening or transforming HR functions, particularly within a growing, entrepreneurial or relatively lean organisation.
- Broad HR experience covering areas such as workforce planning, organisational development, talent management, performance management and compensation & benefits.
- Proven experience partnering directly with C-level executives, business owners or senior management, with the confidence to provide practical and commercially relevant HR advice.
- The ability to balance Group-wide HR consistency with local market requirements and employment practices.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the maturity to work across different cultures and seniority levels.
- A hands-on and pragmatic approach - someone who is comfortable moving between strategic planning and operational HR matters when required.
- Strong judgement and the ability to identify issues early, communicate directly and drive practical solutions in a fast-moving environment.
- Excellent Putonghua is essential. Strong English is required; Cantonese would be an advantage.
- A Bachelor's degree or above in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline.
This role would suit an experienced Senior HR Manager looking to take on broader Group-level responsibility, as well as an established HR Director / Head of HR who enjoys working closely with the business rather than operating purely at a corporate or policy level.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the Group's HR function, working directly with senior leadership and helping build the people infrastructure needed to support the organisation's next stage of growth.
