Job summary

Sheraton & Four Points by Sheraton Hong Kong Tung Chung is seeking a proactive Sales professional to respond to group and catering opportunities and collaborate with the Events team.

You will identify and close opportunities, prepare proposals and contracts, upsell services, follow up on leads, and build lasting relationships with clients to drive revenue and loyalty for Marriott International.

Qualifications

• High Diploma in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in large-scale hotel operation.
• Candidates with less experience may be considered as Sales Executive.

Responsibilities

• Respond in a timely manner to incoming group/catering opportunities within pre-defined parameters; refer opportunities to appropriate sales host if outside parameters.
• Ensure business booked is within hotel parameters; close the best opportunities for the property based on market conditions and the property’s needs.
• Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence). Transfer accurate, complete, and timely information to the Events department in accordance with hotel and brand standards.
• Actively up-sell each business opportunity to maximize revenue.
• Follow up on opportunities uncovered by the proactive sales team.
• Serve the customer by understanding their needs and recommending the appropriate features and services that best meet their needs and exceed their expectations, while building a relationship and loyalty to Marriott International.
