Job summary

GratiCore in Hong Kong is seeking a Fund Operations & Accounting Associate/Vice President (Automation Lead) to oversee NAV review, fund accounting across hedge funds and managed accounts, and to drive process automation.

You will partner with external fund administrators, monitor cash and liquidity, prepare management reporting, and translate business needs into scalable solutions with the Technology team. Strong Excel/VBA skills and Cantonese/English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in workflow automation, process optimization, or systems enhancement projects.
• Proficiency in Excel and VBA; experience with automation tools, reporting systems, or data analytics solutions is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of NAV processes, trade lifecycle management, reconciliations, and fund operational controls.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in fund operations, fund accounting, middle office, or investment operations within an asset manager, hedge fund, fund administrator, or financial institution.
• Solutions-driven mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Cantonese.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fund accounting and NAV review processes across hedge funds, private market vehicles, and managed accounts.
• Partner with external fund administrators to investigate valuation discrepancies, cash breaks, and reconciliation issues.
• Manage post-trade operational activities, including settlement monitoring, lifecycle events, and corporate actions across asset classes.
• Monitor daily cash positions, funding requirements, and liquidity forecasts to support investment activities and planning.
• Prepare management reporting, portfolio analytics, performance summaries, and AUM reporting for senior stakeholders.
• Serve as the key point of contact between Operations and Technology teams, translating requirements into scalable solutions.
• Identify inefficiencies and develop automation initiatives using VBA, Excel, Power Query, or other workflows.
• Lead projects to reduce manual intervention, strengthen controls, and improve data quality.
• Support regulatory reporting, audits, compliance reviews, and responses to examinations.
• Contribute to business improvement initiatives and new fund launches and system enhancements.
