Job summary

Robert Half Hong Kong Limited is expanding its Hedge Fund operations team in Hong Kong. The role focuses on fund accounting, NAV oversight, reconciliations, and trade support within a stable, professional environment.

Ideal candidates have 3–7 years of experience in fund operations or fund accounting, with exposure to automation and strong Excel/VBA skills. A CPA is a strong advantage, and collaboration with senior stakeholders is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Fund Accounting, Economics, or related discipline.
• CPA qualification completed or in progress is advantageous.
• 3–7 years of experience in fund operations, fund accounting, NAV calculation, trade operations, reconciliation, or middle office.
• Strong understanding of fund structures, valuation processes, and operational workflows in asset management/hedge funds.
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with fund accounting platforms or data analytics tools is advantageous.
• Experience with Excel, VBA, or automation tools is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Reconciliations: Perform regular cash, portfolio, and transaction reconciliations to identify discrepancies and ensure data integrity across systems.
• NAV and Fund administration: Assist with investment vehicle accounting activities, including valuations, NAV calculations, and periodic reporting.
• Investor transactions: Coordinate subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, and other investor-related activities with internal and external stakeholders.
• Risk and reporting: Monitor operational metrics and assist with regulatory and internal reports.
• Stakeholder management: Liaise with service providers, counterparties, and internal teams to resolve issues and improve workflows.
• Process improvement: Identify inefficiencies and support automation efforts to strengthen controls.
