Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an Application Support professional for front office trading in the APAC region. You will support production environments, resolve incidents, and collaborate with traders, sales teams, and business stakeholders to ensure trading platforms operate smoothly.

The role requires a solid understanding of capital markets, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure. It includes shift coverage, including occasional weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Understanding of capital markets, electronic trading environments, or financial products.
• Experience supporting business-critical applications in a production environment.
• Familiarity with system monitoring, incident management, and operational support practices.
• Good knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Scripting or automation experience using Python and/or Shell scripting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented mindset.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across business and technology teams.
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 1-3 years of experience in application support, production support, trading technology support, or financial systems support.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents, coordinating with local and global technology teams as needed.
• Manage and track production issues, service requests, and change activities with timely communication.
• Participate in market-driven changes, system enhancements, and platform upgrades.
• Perform testing, release validation, and deployment for trading and business applications.
• Monitor system health and operational stability, proactively mitigating risks.
• Follow IT service management processes for incidents, problems, and changes.
• Maintain support documentation and knowledge repositories.
• Provide rotational shift coverage, including occasional weekend and public holiday support.
