Job summary

Newtone consulting seeks an Application Production Support Engineer to sustain mission-critical equity trading apps across APAC. You’ll manage incidents, deploy changes, and work directly with traders on Linux environments.

This role requires hands-on production support, strong problem-solving, and ITIL-aligned incident/change management. Expect morning shifts with weekend rotation in a fast-paced front-office setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in application production support, preferably in financial markets or trading.
• Strong working knowledge of Linux environments.
• Good troubleshooting and production incident management skills.
• Understanding of equities, futures, or electronic trading systems is advantageous.
• Experience with deployment, testing, and production monitoring.
• Familiarity with ITIL support and change management processes.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with front‑office users.
• Comfortable with morning/lunch shifts and occasional weekend or public holiday support.

Responsibilities

• Support trading applications for equities/futures across APAC markets on Linux platforms.
• Provide direct support to traders and troubleshoot production issues.
• Manage incidents and user requests through resolution, coordinating with development teams.
• Monitor application performance and proactively identify operational issues.
• Support business- and exchange-driven changes and projects.
• Perform QA testing, deployments, upgrades, and production validation.
• Follow ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management.
• Maintain technical and operational documentation and participate in rotations.
