Job summary

The Prince Hotel in Hong Kong is seeking a Front Desk Supervisor to assist the Front Desk Manager and supervise daily operations. You will ensure courteous, effective service and coordinate room status with Housekeeping, guiding front desk staff and handling on-day reservations.

Ideal candidates have a hospitality diploma, at least 3 years at the front desk with 1 year in supervision, fluent English and Mandarin, and the ability to work shifts independently.

Qualifications

• Certificate / diploma in Hospitality Management or related disciplines.
• Minimum 3 years of Front Desk experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Able to work independently and handle shift duties.
• Good command of spoken English and Mandarin.
• Candidate with less experience will be considered as Guest Service Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Assist Front Desk manager and supervise the Front Desk activities.
• Ensure courteous and effective services are delivered to hotel guests by Front Desk colleagues.
• Review Front Desk procedures and implement improvements.
• Provide guidance and training to Front Desk staff on all tasks.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping to manage room status and arrangements.
• Maximize revenue by managing on-day room reservations and cancellations.
• Greet VIP guests in absence of FDM and Duty Manager.
• Handle guest complaints and report daily occurrences to management.
• Coordinate with Credit Manager to review in-house guests’ credit ratings.
• Prepare duty roster and perform other duties as required.
