Job summary

Hong Kong First Service Company Limited is seeking a seasoned Finance Controller/Finance Manager to take ownership of the full set of accounts for its Hong Kong entities in Kowloon. The role covers month-end and year-end closes, accruals, inter-company transactions, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Responsibilities include cash flow management, treasury, budgeting versus actual analysis, and maintaining robust internal controls.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance; professional qualification required.
• Minimum 10 years in accounting/finance with 5 years in managerial role.
• Hands-on experience managing full set of accounts for HK entities.

Responsibilities

Job description

Take full ownership of the full set of accounts for the Hong Kong entities, ensuring accounting records are accurate, complete and up to date.

Perform month-end and year-end closing, including accruals, prepayments, inter-company transactions and balance sheet reconciliations.

Manage bank reconciliations, cash flow and payment arrangements, ensuring appropriate controls over company funds.

Oversee internal controls, risk management, and audit coordination (external and internal)

Lead cash flow forecasting, treasury management, and banking relationships

Perform budget vs. actual analysis, identify significant variances or unusual expenses, and provide timely explanations to management.

Identify and properly account for expenses incurred on behalf of Group companies or other related entities, and support inter-company reconciliation, cost allocation and recharge where required.

Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, accounting firms and other professional service providers on statutory audits, tax filings and other compliance matters.

Work closely with Group Finance and provide timely visibility on financial performance, cash position, significant expenses and potential financial risks.

Requirements:

Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, together with a recognized professional accounting qualification.

Minimum 10 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, with 5 years of solid experience at managerial level.

Hands-on experience in independently managing the full set of accounts for Hong Kong entities.

Strong cost awareness and analytical skills, with the ability to identify unusual transactions, significant cost movements and potential financial issues.

Proficient in MS Excel and experienced with accounting software e.g. PeachTree.
