Job summary

JLL is seeking a seasoned Facilities Manager to run day-to-day operations for school facilities on-site in Hong Kong. You will oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, security, and building automation systems while leading a team of technicians and coordinating with external contractors.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in FM/Engineering or equivalent experience, at least 5 years in educational or multi-building environments, and strong communication skills in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Services or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in facilities management, preferably in educational or multi-building environments.
• Strong technical expertise in MEP infrastructure; able to troubleshoot and manage systems.
• Proven experience leading maintenance teams and managing third-party vendors.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken). Additional languages are a plus.

• Develop and implemented preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Ensure full compliance with location regulations, health & safety standards, and international school accreditation requirements.
• Manage facility-related budgets, vendor contracts and service-level agreements.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations (e.g. power outages, water leaks, security incidents)

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong technical expertise in building systems - demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and manage mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) infrastructure
• Proven experience managing maintenance teams and third-party vendors
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Fluency in English (written and spoken), additional languages are a plus
