Matilda & War Memorial Hospital is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee departmental operations and lead a technical team in corrective, preventive and new maintenance projects.

You will allocate internal and external resources, manage budgets, and coordinate with departments, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure timely, high-quality work while maintaining safety, environmental, and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or above in Building Services Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline with valid certificates.
• Min. 8 solid years in related managerial positions, preferably gained in hospitals / hotels.
• Practical experience in project, contract, tender and departmental management.
• Conversant with local building services related legislations and government procedures.

Responsabilités

• Oversee departmental operation and manage a team of technical staff in corrective / preventive / new maintenance projects.
• Allocate internal / external resources according to skill mix, operation needs, time and cost efficiency, etc. for effective management of repair, maintenance, new projects within tight schedules.
• Collaborate with different departments, contractors, statutory / professional bodies, etc. in ensuring timeliness, work quality, safety security, environmental performance, risk management and audit / accreditation preparation in compliance with requirements.
• Conduct / facilitate internal training in work processes, policies and procedures, workmanship, record keeping documentation, budgeting, contractor / tender management, filing and documentation.
