Job summary

Civil Service Bureau is seeking candidates for a role within the Social Welfare Department in Hong Kong. The position involves supporting language-focused activities and services for ethnic minorities, including interpretation, outreach, and reception tasks.

Successful applicants will be assigned to the Medical Social Services Units and/or Integrated Family Service Centres, may work overtime, and will operate under a non-civil service contract expiring on 30 September 2027.

Qualifications

Candidates must pass a language test.
Open to permanent residents of the Hong Kong SAR.
Non-civil service vacancies; appointment on non-civil service contract terms.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing and conducting activities, programmes and training, including for ethnic minorities.
Provide simple interpretation and translation to EMs to help with forms and access to resources.
Assist in networking duties and escort services for EMs.
Assist in producing publicity materials in EM languages.
Assist at reception counters and handle incoming calls.
Undertake other assigned duties.
