The Civil Service Bureau invites applications for a Social Work Assistant in Hong Kong. The role focuses on casework, group activities, and direct support for individuals in care settings, including elderly assessments and welfare scheme implementation.

Applicants must be registered social workers (Category 1), hold a diploma or equivalent in social work, meet language requirements, and pass BLNST. Civil service probation and permanent terms apply.

Formación

• Must be a registered social worker (Category 1) under Cap. 505.
• Must meet education qualifications listed above (Diploma/Certificate in Social Work).
• Must meet language requirements in Chinese and English with Level 2 or above in HKCEE/HKDSEE or equivalent, and speak fluent Cantonese.
• Must pass the Basic Law and National Security Law Test (BLNST).

Responsabilidades

• Undertake casework services.
• Plan, organise and implement groups and programmes.
• Provide supervision, guidance and counselling to persons under care.
• Conduct assessment of long-term care needs of the elderly.
• Assist in implementing social welfare schemes; handle public inquiries to the Hotline Unit.
