Anchorpoint Financial Limited is a subsidiary of Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (SCBHK) and a joint venture established by SCBHK, HKT, and Animoca Brands in February 2025. With the vision of utilising tokenised money to rewire and supplement existing financial infrastructure for the betterment of the real economy, the initial goal is to build and advance the regulated HKD stablecoin "HKDAP" to serve as a secure tokenised medium of exchange for digital economy and to facilitate international payments and capital flows. It is one of the first entities granted with a stablecoin issuer licence (licence number FRS01) by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority under the Stablecoins Ordinance in April 2026.
Job Description
This individual will play a crucial role in the Client Coverage function, which directly manages all aspects of our client (i.e. Authorised Distributor) and counterparty relationships – ensuring best-in-class delivery of our product offerings, in collaboration with various internal teams and stakeholders. This role will require a high-agency, fast-learning, detail-oriented person with excellent communication skills that could represent our franchise well and drive commercial impact.
The role sits within the Client Coverage function reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, and partners closely with Operations, Product, Risk teams to ensure client onboarding, ongoing account activities, and other related tasks are carried out efficiently and, in a manner compliant with our organization’s internal control frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Account management and client coverage
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout its account relationship
- Maintain ongoing client relationship and proactively manage clients’ potential need or inquiries
- Work closely with risk, operations, product and engineering teams to resolve client issues
- Assist with onboarding process and collect, review, and verify all necessary documentation and information required for new client intake approval
- Coordinate with internal teams to carry out periodic account review and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client activities and due diligence documents
- Continuously provide inputs and seek new ways to improve client experience and satisfaction, and our operational efficiency where applicable (e.g. optimise internal process)
Business development and partnership
- Drive business development activities that directly support our growth & adoption metrics
- Identify and evaluate potential candidates that could become our Authorised Distributors across different markets and jurisdictions
- Manage the full lifecycle of client origination, commercial evaluation and onboarding
- Actively engage and reach out to potential adoption partners for our regulated stablecoins, and where appropriate, connect suitable partners from our ecosystem to enable implementation
- Drive key success metrics around adoption, distribution and ecosystem penetration
Education and ecosystem awareness
- Proactively respond to and resolve clients’ and partners’ inquiries regarding our offerings
- Develop and conduct training sessions for distributors and ecosystem partners on best practices across various aspects regarding regulated stablecoins (e.g. use cases, infrastructure requirement, operations, AML/compliance obligations, etc)
- Drive industry and market awareness of our distributors and ecosystem partners’ use cases or products facilitated by our regulated stablecoins
Other
- Assist in other business development initiatives, client assessments and reviews, marketing and other ad hoc tasks as required
Qualifications
- Degree holder
- 10+ years of experience in sales/business development roles facing institutional client base, in the context of financial, banking or payment-related products are highly preferred (but open to consider advisory, consulting or professional service experience)
- Proven track record in originating, managing and growing account activities and wallet share
- Relevant knowledge about blockchain technologies, digital assets and stablecoins
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English and Chinese (both Mandarin and Cantonese)
- High agency, intellectually curious, organised, and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Approachable, attentive, able to work under stress and has a positive attitude
- Proficiency in common office productivity tools such as Microsoft Office suite required, experience with common CRM and project management tools is strongly preferred
