Job summary

Lui Design Limited in Hong Kong seeks a Design Project Manager / Senior Project Architect / Senior Design Project Manager to lead luxury and premium projects from concept to handover. You will drive design development, technical execution, and coordinate schedules, budgets and quality with client liaison.

Expect a hybrid work model with opportunities across permanent and contract roles, leading multi-project delivery and mentoring junior staff in a dynamic APAC practice.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design, Project Management, Construction Management, or relevant disciplines.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, technical design detailing, and refined design sense.
• Strong communication, organization, time management, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, show self-initiative, uphold strong professional ethics, and work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp, MS Project, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
• Willingness to make necessary site visits; some traveling might be required.

Core Responsibilities

Project Execution & Coordination: Engage in daily coordination with clients, landlords, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.

Design & Documentation: Produce, review, or manage construction drawings, technical design detailing, and project documentation.

Role Breakdown & Depth of Involvement

(Requires proven experience leading luxury and premium projects).

Mid-Seniority Level (8 - 12 Years Experience)

Focus: Project leadership, quality assurance, and client management.

Expectations: You will take full ownership of the core responsibilities from concept to handover. The Design Project Manager drives design development, technical execution, project schedules, cost control, site quality assurance, and client communication. The Project Architect shares overlapping responsibilities while leading technical troubleshooting, managing statutory or landlord approvals, and ensuring flawless design integrity across all drawings. Both roles guide and review the work of mid-level team members.

(Roles: Senior Project Architect / Senior Design Project Manager)

Focus: High-level operational leadership, complex project execution, and strategic mentorship.

Expectations: Building directly upon the mid-senior level, you will continue to provide hand on leadership for daily task execution, but at a significantly higher and more complex level. You will personally drive the most intricate design developments and large scale project rollouts across luxury and premium sectors, oversee multiple concurrent projects, negotiate major contracts, manage executive relationships with clients, and drive overarching departmental standards while mentoring junior, mid-level and mid-senior team members.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design, Project Management, Construction Management, or relevant disciplines.
