Job summary

AWS Infrastructure Services in Hong Kong is seeking a data center operations professional to join a diverse team of engineers and operations staff. You will support 7x24 data center activities, respond to incidents on site, perform break-fix tasks, manage media and capacity decommissioning, keep operation areas tidy, and contribute improvements from daily operational experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IT system hardware and network concepts.
• Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
• 1+ years of server hardware troubleshooting and repair experience, or experience with network equipment installation and configuration.
• 1+ years of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment experience, or experience in similar technical roles.
• Degree / High Diploma or equivalent qualifications in Information Technology / Computer Science / Engineering or related disciplines.
• Sound understanding on incidents response and prioritization.
• Preferred: Experience in data center engineering or operations, or experience in operations and on-call support for data center facilities, mission critical plants, or production facilities.
• Preferred: 1+ years of data center experience, or experience in networking.
• Preferred: Knowledge of cloud computing technologies.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. The successful candidate shall follow Amazon Data Center processes and maintain high operational standards in supporting server and network hardware and software. They need to adapt to a fast and constantly changing environment and will require shift work including weekend and holiday.
