The ideal candidate has strong Java, SQL Server, and web services experience, with 6+ years post-qualification and 2+ years in government-related projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' experience in IT Application Development and Management.
• 4+ years in Java Application Framework (e.g. Struts).
• 4+ years' experience in JAVA Programming and SQL Server.
• 4+ years' experience in Structured Query Language and Web Services.
• 2+ years' experience in JavaServer Faces and JBoss Application Server.
• 2+ years' experience working with Government systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the department.
• Analyze, design, and implement CMIS 2 and CMIS HSA system enhancements.
• Prepare functional specifications for CMIS 2 and CMIS HSA enhancements.
• Contribute to generation of CMIS 2 and CMIS HSA statistics/reports on request.
• Enhance data interfaces between CMIS 2 and CMIS HSA for spatial analysis.
• Provide support and maintenance for CMIS 2 and CMIS HSA daily operations.
• Support CMIS 2 infrastructure upgrades (e.g., Java, Red Hat Linux).
• Support and enhance CMIS Archiving for CMIS 2 production data.
• Share duties for CMIS 2 mobile version and maintain project documentation.

Contract Senior Systems Analyst (C40162)

Complaints Management Information System (CMIS 2)

The CMIS 2 is a web-based application which is used for handling and management of complaint cases. Workflow, record keeping, case assignment and approval, alerts, reports and mobile functions are provided. The CMIS 2 will be used by about 4,000 department users. A CMIS Archiving system has been built for users to browse those NFAed cases archived from CMIS 2 annually to optimize the data volume in CMIS 2.

Complaints Management Information System Hot Spot Analysis (CMIS HSA)

The CMIS HSA is a web-based spatial data analytical system. The complaint location records are extracted from CMIS 2 and interface with the DGIS system to generate the complaint hot spots. These hot spots information will be displayed on the DGIS interface while relevant management reports are generated.

Duties:

Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the department;

Analysis, design, and implement CMIS 2 and CMIS HSA system enhancement;

Prepare functional specification for CMIS 2 and CMIS HSA system enhancements;

Share the duty on the generation of CMIS 2 and CMIS HSA statistical/ management reports upon users requests;

Enhance the data interface between CMIS 2 and CMIS HSA support the spatial analysis;

Provide support and maintenance service on the CMIS 2 and CMIS HAS daily operation;

Support and enhance the CMIS 2 to support the upgrade of the CMIS 2 infrastructure (e.g. upgrade of Java, and Red Hat Linux);

Support and enhance the CMIS Archiving system to support the archiving of CMIS 2 production data;

Share the duty on supporting and enhancing the CMIS 2 mobile version; and

Maintain and update project documentation.

Requirement:

Working hours: Normal office hours

Working location: The department offices in Hong Kong SAR

Language required: Cantonese and English

On call duty: Not required

Technical Skills:

At least 4 years' experience in IT Application Development and Management;

At least 4 years' experience in Java Application Framework (e.g. Struts (Apache));

At least 4 years' experience in JAVA Programming;

At least 4 years' experience in Microsoft SQL Server;

At least 4 years' experience in Structured Query Language;

At least 4 years' experience in Web Services;

At least 2 years' experience in JavaServer Faces;

At least 2 years' experience in JBoss Application Server.

Non-technical Skills:

At least 2 years' experience in work with the Government;

At least 2 years' experience in the management and support of Government systems and services.

Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;

At least 6 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 2 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
