Job summary

InfoTech Services (Hong Kong) Limited is hired to support the Labour Department (LD) IT infrastructure, including server room operations, monitoring, and LAN support. Responsibilities

• Support LD's IT infrastructure in production operations and monitoring.
• Assist development teams in building and maintaining Labour Department computer systems.
• Provide server/LAN support and ongoing maintenance.
• Operate within InfoTech headcount on a full-time basis for the LD project.
• May be deployed to other divisions/systems as needed.
• May work across Eastern, Central and Western districts and other HK areas.

Project Nature (T26) System development and maintenance for IT projects/systems in Labour Department (LD)

Duties

• Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the LD;
• Support server room Infrastructure for the Labour Department, including daily operation support, production system monitoring, server/LAN support and maintenance.
• Assist project team in the development of computer systems of the Labour Department
• Perform any other relevant duties as assigned by supervisors and the management of ITMD of Labour Department
• May work in various locations, including Eastern, Central and Western district, and any other area in Hong Kong
• May be redeployed to provide IT support for other divisions/systems/projects in the future

Requirements

• Must have experience in Datacentre Maintenance
• Must have experience in Linux System Administration
• Must have experience in Oracle Real Application Cluster
• Must have experience in Storage Area Network
• Must have work experience in the Government
• Experience in System Backup with Bightstor ArcServe is desirable
• Work experience in the Labour Department is highly desirable
• Interview will be conducted in both Cantonese and English
• Written test may be required during the interview

Technical Skills

• At least 3 years' experience in Experience in Datacentre Maintenance (DCM)
• At least 3 years' experience in Linux System Administration (LIN)
• At least 3 years' experience in Oracle Real Application Cluster (OAC)
• At least 3 years' experience in Storage Area Network (SAN)
• 2 years' experience in System Backup with Bightstor ArcServe (BAS) is an advantage.

Non-technical Skill

• At least 3 years' experience in work with the Government (GOV).
• Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;
• At least 3 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 1 year's relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
