Job summary

Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Ltd is seeking an experienced Onboarding Project Lead to act as the day-to-day lead for onboarding initiatives and coordinate between clients and internal teams. You will support the Prime Services business during the transition from sales mandate to go-live, ensuring delivery readiness and a seamless client experience.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Prime Brokerage, Institutional Onboarding, Client Implementation, or Financial Markets Operations.

Responsibilities

• Act as day-to-day lead for onboarding projects and be the main coordination point between client and internal teams.
• Support Prime Services business and clients through transition from sales mandate to go-live.
• Coordinate across internal teams to ensure delivery readiness.
• Drive timely and transparent resolution of operational or process issues.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans outlining onboarding tasks, owners, dependencies and timelines.
• Proactively track milestones, identify risks and escalate as required.
• Facilitate onboarding deliverables including legal docs, KYC/AML, account opening, connectivity, margin/limit setup and reporting.
• Maintain professional client communication with regular status updates and issue resolution calls.
• Ensure a consistent and positive client experience throughout implementation.
• Support internal stakeholders in client-facing meetings and document prep.
• Ensure onboarding activities comply with SCB policies and regulatory requirements (MAS, SFC, HKMA).
• Maintain audit-ready records of plans, communications and signoffs.
• Support governance reporting on onboarding metrics, status and controls.
• Lead initiatives to streamline workflows and promote efficiency via automation and process redesign.
• Collaborate with Prime Services and tech/project teams on new product offerings.
• Contribute to documentation updates and internal knowledge sharing initiatives.
