Job summary

Standard Chartered Bank in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced AML/KYC onboarding professional to join the Client Onboarding team. You will assess client profiles, perform risk assessments, and ensure adherence to CDD and AML policies while meeting onboarding SLAs.

You will collaborate with frontline and second-line teams, produce weekly trackers and dashboards, and support audits and regulatory change initiatives. Fluent in English and Chinese, with 5+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to CDD/AML and internal procedures.
• Minimum 5+ years relevant experience in AML/KYC and/or client onboarding in banking/financial services with private banking/corporate focus.
• ACAMS Certification or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills.
• Degree in business, finance or related disciplines; multilingual abilities advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Open new accounts in line with PVB Policies and Procedures with frontline teams.
• Perform comprehensive risk assessments based on client profile to identify risks upfront.
• Meet onboarding SLA with no dilution in risk assessments.
• Ensure client files are properly risk assessed and compliant with CDD requirements.
• Flag non-compliant clients and raise SARs when required.
• Maintain weekly trackers to monitor case progress.
• Provide feedback on group policy changes and support regulatory/regulatory audits and second line reviews.
• Maintain monthly dashboards to ensure KPIs are met within thresholds.
• Support key projects related to client onboarding, periodic reviews and CDD matters.
