Job summary

China Life Insurance (Overseas) Company Limited is seeking a senior Claims Manager to assess and approve complex cases and manage customer expectations with flexible solutions.

The role involves supervising a KPI-driven Claims Team, delivering regular management reports, and coordinating cross-functional initiatives to uplift efficiency and customer experience. Fluency in English and Chinese is required; Putonghua is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Insurance, medical, management or related disciplines.
• FLMI/ICA qualification preferred.
• 8+ years of claims experience in Life Insurance with at least 2 years in management.
• Fluency in English and Chinese; Putonghua is an advantage.
• Highly organized self-starter able to lead multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assess and approve new claim/complaint/complicated cases within authority and manage customer expectations by offering flexible solution.
• Prepare regular management and business reports of Claims Department.
• Assist team leader to supervise and lead the team to achieve the KPI and help driving initiatives to uplift operations efficiency and customer experience.
• Provide regular training and support to enhance professional knowledge and standard of subordinates and agencies.
• Responsible for business data analysis, requirement gathering, scoping, documentation and functional specification review to ensure business objectives are aligned.
• Coordinate and assist in UAT activities such as preparation of test plan, test cases, pre-UAT quality check, monitoring of bug fixing, retest progress, UAT reports and post implementation monitoring.
• Work effectively and efficiently with cross-functional departments and external parties to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and aligned with company strategy.
• Participate in Product Development and liaison with reinsurers

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree holders in Insurance, medical, management or related disciplines
• Holder of FLMI or ICA qualification is preferred
• Minimum 8 years of claims experience in Life Insurance Industry with at least 2 years in management level
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese. Fluency in Putonghua is definitely an advantage
• Highly organized self-starter, capable to lead multiple projects to meet tight deadlines and work in a fast paced environment.
