We are looking for a highly proactive and energetic Centre Manager to oversee operations at the German Cultural Association of Hong Kong. This is not a traditional desk job. We need a versatile, hands‑on professional who thrives on variety, takes initiative, and takes ownership of our daily operations. You will manage from financial administration and schedule coordination to new customer acquisition, ensuring our facility runs smoothly while bringing fresh ideas to drive the business forward.
Customer Acquisition: Handle new customer inquiries via WhatsApp, explain our language and cultural offerings, and proactively find creative solutions to specific client requests to drive enrollment.
Financial Administration: Accurately process student payments, track invoices, and handle day‑to‑day financial administration.
Schedule & Operations Coordination: Monitor daily class schedules, manage client absences, and seamlessly arrange teacher substitutions. Actively identify bottlenecks in current operations and implement practical solutions.
Business Improvement: Brainstorm and execute ideas to improve the business, including student retention initiatives and operational upgrades. Work directly with the Managing Director on ad‑hoc projects to grow and streamline the association.
Customer Experience: Act as a welcoming face for students, members, at the school. Provide exceptional, warm service and hospitality to our community during their visits.
Office & Facility Management: Manage inventory and coordinate the ordering of administrative and facility supplies.
Proactive & Driven: You do not wait to be told what to do. If you see a problem, you take ownership and fix it.
Organized: You can seamlessly juggle an invoice follow‑up, a last‑minute teacher substitution, and a guest greeting without dropping the ball.
Adaptable: You are happy rolling up your sleeves for routine administrative tasks, but smart enough to think strategically about the bigger picture.
Collaborative: You thrive in a dynamic, multi‑cultural network. We work in close partnership with the Spanish Cultural Association of Hong Kong and the French Teachers Association of Hong Kong, requiring excellent cross‑team communication.
Experienced: 1 to 3 years of experience in operations, administration, or hospitality is preferred. A strong attitude, sense of ownership, and initiative matter more than formal qualifications.
Compensation: $21,000 – $25,000 HKD / month (depending on experience) + commissions for new student acquisition.
Culture: A vibrant, cultural working environment alongside our partner associations.
Growth: Direct mentorship from the Managing Director and the full autonomy to implement your own ideas to shape the center's future.
