Job summary

Cathay Pacific Airways Limited in Hong Kong seeks a Cargo Supervisor to oversee Cargo Officers, maintain efficient operations, and ensure adherence to safety and service standards. You will coordinate with Cargo Management and service providers, and assist the Cargo Duty Officer with reporting and shipment care duties.

The role requires a strong background in airline cargo, leadership, and excellent communication across diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Right to work in Hong Kong.
• Minimum age 18.
• Tertiary education or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years’ airline cargo operations experience; freighter knowledge is a plus.
• Sound knowledge of cargo operations including freighter.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and planning skills.
• A self-motivated leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to interact with people at all levels and from diverse backgrounds.
• Good command of MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint; detail oriented and independent.
• Good spoken/written English; Chinese language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure efficient performance of Cargo Officers.
• Maintain communication with subordinates and Cargo Management.
• Liaise with service providers for smooth operations.
• Supervise flight operations to meet OTP and company rules.
• Stay knowledgeable about handling procedures including hazardous materials.
• Report issues, propose solutions, and handle irregularities.
• Monitor service providers’ performance and maintain effective communication.
• Ensure safety regulations compliance; conduct investigations and reports.
• Assist the Cargo Duty Officer with reports and shipment care duties.
