Job summary

SA Project Limited is seeking a talented BIM Coordinator to join our Hong Kong interior fit-out team. You will coordinate multidisciplinary BIM models, perform clash detection and ensure accurate information throughout design and construction.

The role collaborates with designers, consultants and contractors on commercial interior projects, ensuring models align with standards and latest revisions. Strong Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks skills are essential.

Job description

SA Project, a leading force in interior fit-out main contracting in Hong Kong, invites talented and experienced BIM Coordinator to join our team. As a crucial member of our dynamic organization, you will coordinate multidisciplinary BIM models, identify and resolve clashes, and ensure accurate, coordinated information throughout the design and construction process. The role works closely with designers, consultants, contractors and project teams on commercial interior design and fit-out projects.

What You'll Be Doing

Combine BIM models from different disciplines into a fully coordinated federated BIM model

Coordinate architectural, interior, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing & drainage and fire services models

Ensure all models are properly aligned with consistent coordinates, standards and latest revisions

Manage model updates and maintain accurate coordination information throughout the project

Perform clash detection and model coordination using appropriate BIM software

Identify conflicts between building services, structure, ceilings, partitions, joinery and other architectural/interior elements

Prepare clear clash reports and coordinate issues with the relevant consultants, contractors and trades

Track outstanding clashes and design changes through to resolution

Work proactively with project parties to minimise coordination issues before construction

Construction & Site Coordination

Work closely with contractors, subcontractors, consultants and the project team to resolve coordination issues before installation

Review ceiling voids, service routes, equipment access, maintenance requirements and installation clearances

Participate in BIM and coordination meetings and follow up on outstanding issues

Ensure the latest coordinated models and drawings are available to support construction

Assist the project team in resolving BIM-related technical and site coordination issues

BIM Quality Control

Review BIM models for accuracy, completeness and coordination

Ensure revised models reflect agreed design and coordination changes

Maintain the federated BIM model, clash reports and coordination issue registers

Monitor drawing and model consistency across different disciplines

Maintain proper BIM documentation, model standards and file management

What We're Looking For

Higher Diploma / Diploma or above in Interior Design, Architecture, Building Studies, BIM, Construction or related discipline

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in BIM modelling and coordination

Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD is essential

Good working knowledge of Navisworks and clash detection / BIM coordination

Solid experience in preparing and reviewing detailed drawings and construction documentation

Experience in commercial interior design or fitting-out projects is highly preferred

Good understanding of interior construction, building services coordination, detailing, materials and finishes

Knowledge of SketchUp, Enscape or other BIM / 3D software would be an advantage

Able to work independently, manage priorities and meet project deadlines

Good communication skills and comfortable working with designers, consultants, contractors and subcontractors

Good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese
