Job summary

Gravitas Recruitment Group Hong Kong is seeking a high-caliber AVP to join its Global Commodities team. Based in Hong Kong, you will drive sales and origination for Exchange-Traded and OTC commodity derivatives to institutional clients, with direct collaboration to traders and structurers.

You will manage key client relationships, identify hedging needs, monitor risk, and help develop new products while ensuring HK regulatory compliance and strong client outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commodities derivatives sales, marketing, or structuring.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Financial Engineering, or related field; CFA or similar designation is a plus.
• Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
• Experience with HKMA/SFC regulatory frameworks.
• Preference for experience in HK or international markets.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and marketing for Exchange-Traded and OTC commodity derivatives to institutional clients.
• Cultivate and manage key counterparty relationships and tailor hedging solutions.
• Collaborate with trading desks to execute client orders and support transactions.
• Monitor risk, positions and ensure compliance with internal risk policies.
• Assist in developing new commodity products and market events.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards in all activities.
