Kinly is seeking an experienced AV Event Manager to lead on-site event delivery and client engagements in Hong Kong. You will oversee live events, coordinate technical teams, and ensure service excellence across all AV components.

Responsibilities

• Client management: build and maintain relationships and advise on best practices.
• Direct management of Events Technicians and resource planning with SDM.
• Fault reporting and escalation handling for events.
• On-site management of live events across multiple sites.
• Manage rotas, holidays and sickness to ensure service continuity.
• Share knowledge and implement best practices across the AV team.
• Provide post-event debriefs and continuous service improvements.
• Oversee project management of live broadcasts across client sites.

Exciting new opportunity has arisen for a proven AV Event Manager, to join a well-known globally recognised business, to manage and oversee the delivery of the on-site event services between Kinly and our client. The position involves a high degree of client contact, often working with executive management and managing directors to provide best in class services across all Audio Visual-related parts of event services.

Key responsibilities:

• Client Management – Building and maintaining client relationships, advising clients on best practice, technical risks and potential procedural
• Team Management – Direct management of Events Technicians and working with Service Delivery Manager (SDM) to ensure all events are resourced effectively
• Fault Reporting Management – ensure all faults are reported and escalated
• Management duties of technical staff in the delivery of live events across all sites
• Managing the rota, holidays and sickness within the onsite events team to allow for continuation of delivering best-in-class services
• Sharing events knowledge and best practices across the entire AV team
• Providing regular feedback on communication issues and service improvements
• Developing service procedure documentation and ensuring it is kept up to date and available to the onsite AV teams
• Identifying area of potential technological/operational improvements
• Carrying out all power down/up when required, usually involving out-of-hours overtime commitments
• Promoting and delivering team collaboration whilst maintaining team morale
• Reporting on SLA performance, management information, team performance and other business metrics for client
• Attending all pre-event planning meetings and be responsible for resource scheduling, crewing, technical briefing, lice event management and post-event debrief
• Maintaining good communication channels with clients, getting to know their technical requirements and choosing the right solutions
• Project management of live broadcast across client sites
• On-site management and overall responsibility of events
• Post-event wrap-up report and meeting, including identification of incidents and problems and ensuring these rectified prior to future events

Skills and experience:

• Proven experience working in a similar role, with solid leadership and collaboration skills
• Strong knowledge of AV / VC equipment - systems such as Crestron, Extron, AMX, Cisco, Zoom, VMR, etc.
• Confident and credible communicator
• Background leading a team
• Fluency in both Cantonese and English
