Job summary

Kinly is a leading AV and UC solutions provider, seeking an AV Events Technician to support meeting rooms across our client’s estate. You will work with the Subject Matter Expert and AVNOC team to ensure issues are resolved and services delivered smoothly.

The role involves AV/VC setup, troubleshooting, project delivery support, health checks, and business continuity activities, with training of new staff. Cantonese and English fluency required; interview process is 2-stage.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in AV and video conferencing roles.
• Strong capability with a broad variety of AV and VC systems.
• Confident and credible communicator.
• Fluency in Cantonese and English.

Responsibilities

• Provide AV and VC set-up and technical support across meeting rooms and VC rooms.
• Advanced fault finding and troubleshooting.
• Support Project Managers in delivering projects.
• Assist AVNOC with due diligence reporting and recommendations.
• Conduct proactive health checks per SOP and support Business Continuity activities.
• Assist with software upgrades and with video/audio conferencing issues.

Hours:Monday – Friday – 40 hours (rotational shifts; 8am - 5pm,10am - 7pm)

Exciting new opportunity has arisen for a proven AV Events Technician, to join a well-known globally recognised business, to provide AV technical support for all meeting rooms across our client’s estate.

Working with the Subject Matter Expert and AVNOC team you will ensure resolution to any issues that arise.

The position involves a high degree of exposure, working sometimes with executive management and managing directors to provide the services below.

Key responsibilities:

Provide AV and VC set-up and technical support across all meeting rooms and VC equipped rooms

Advanced fault finding and troubleshooting

Support Project Managers in the successful delivery of projects

Assist the AVNOC with delivery of a due diligence program providing reporting on room conditions and recommending upgrades and improvements

Carry out proactive health checks in accordance with SOP

Service continuity support including preparation for a restoration of service from Power Downs, Black Building Exercises and other planned or unplanned Business Continuity Management activities

Assist with software upgrades

Assist with support for video/audio conferencing problems - Investigate faults and recommend further actions to rectify

Ensure all multi-media / presentation rooms are maintained in good working order

Presentation / multi-media meeting room support, including duration support

Assist, where possible, with IT-related enquiries during supports. Escalate issues if required.

Advise clients on best practice

Assist with training of new starters and freelancers

Skills and experience:

Proven experience working in a similar role, with strong Audio Visual and Video Conferencing skills

Strong capability with a broad variety of AV & VC systems

Confident and credible communicator

Fluency in both Cantonese and English
