Job summary

Kinly, a leading AV and unified communications solutions provider, is seeking an experienced Senior AV Event Technician to support meeting rooms across our client estate in Hong Kong. You will work with the AVNOC team and SME to resolve issues and ensure continuous service across venues.

The role involves coordinating with executive stakeholders, performing fault isolation, and delivering proactive health checks.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in AV and video conferencing in a similar role.
• Broad capability with AV and VC systems.
• Confident and credible communicator.
• Fluency in Cantonese and English.

Responsibilities

• Provide AV and VC setup and technical support across meeting rooms.
• Advanced fault finding and troubleshooting.
• Perform L1/L2 incident management.
• Support project managers in delivering projects.
• Assist with due diligence reporting on room conditions and upgrades.
• Carry out proactive health checks per SOP.
• Assist with IT-related inquiries during support and escalate as needed.
• Advise clients on best practices and assist with training.

Role: Senior AV Event Technician - L2

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Hong Kong

Salary: Negotiable (dependent on experience), plus company benefits

Interview Process: 2-stage (Virtual and Face-to-face)

Hours: Monday - Friday - 40 hours (rotational shifts; 8am - 5pm,10am - 7pm)

Exciting new opportunity has arisen for a proven AV Events Technician, to join a well-known globally recognised business, to provide AV technical support for all meeting rooms across our client’s estate.

Working with the Subject Matter Expert and AVNOC team you will ensure resolution to any issues that arise.

The position involves a high degree of exposure, working sometimes with executive management and managing directors to provide the services below.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide AV and VC set-up and technical support across all meeting rooms and VC equipped rooms
• Advanced fault finding and troubleshooting
• Perform L1/L2 incident management
• Support Project Managers in the successful delivery of projects
• Assist the AVNOC with delivery of a due diligence program providing reporting on room conditions and recommending upgrades and improvements
• Carry out proactive health checks in accordance with SOP
• Service continuity support including preparation for a restoration of service from Power Downs, Black Building Exercises and other planned or unplanned Business Continuity Management activities
• Assist with software upgrades
• Assist with support for video/audio conferencing problems - Investigate faults and recommend further actions to rectify
• Ensure all multi-media / presentation rooms are maintained in good working order
• Presentation / multi-media meeting room support, including duration support
• Assist, where possible, with IT-related enquiries during supports. Escalate issues if required.
• Advise clients on best practice
• Assist with training of new starters and freelancers

Skills and experience:

• Proven experience working in a similar role, with strong Audio Visual and Video Conferencing skills
• Strong capability with a broad variety of AV & VC systems
• Confident and credible communicator
• Fluency in both Cantonese and English
