Job description

Assistant Vice President, Product Development (Retail Loans & Deposits)

Develop new retail loans and deposit products according to Bank's business direction and market demand from time to time.

Review and enhance the end-to-end process of retail loans and deposit products to meet efficiency, compliance and risk control requirements

Day-to-day communication of product matters with frontline business units, supporting operation units and internal control departments.

Develop appropriate strategy, promotion and tools to achieve retail loans and deposits budget targets.

Cross-department or cross-functional collaborations to achieve such established targets as digital penetration, sustainability banking adoption and product cross-selling ratios.

Prepare regular and ad-hoc products and business performance updates for top management's review.

Handle ad hoc tasks in the department when need

Requirements:

Degree holder with at least 8 years of solid experience in Retail / Corporate Banking business, preferably with exposure on mortgage or other retail loan products.

Proven experience in product development and project management.

Customer-centric mindset with acute insight into customer financial behaviours and market changes.

Strong data literacy, capable of interpreting business KPIs, identifying gaps and delivering actionable improvement plans.

Proven ability to drive cross-functional alignment, resolve business bottlenecks and deliver measurable business results.

Commercially focused, with up-to-date knowledge of market trends and consumer needs, ability to balance risks and rewards, maximize cost effectiveness and profitability for the business.

Self-motivated, creative and analytical mind.

Excellent collaboration skills and ability to lead and influence.

Effective time-management skills, ready to perform multi-tasks.

Risk-awareness with basic knowledge of Code of Banking Practice.

Good command of written and spoken commercial English and Chinese including Mandarin.
