Job summary

China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation is seeking a Site Based Procurement Officer to manage procurement independently, source materials and select vendors, and coordinate with the project team for timely ordering of construction materials. Ideal candidates hold a Diploma or above with 2–3 years of construction procurement experience.

Proficiency in English, Chinese and Mandarin, plus strong negotiation and communication skills, is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or above required.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in construction procurement.
• Strong English, Mandarin and Chinese written/spoken abilities.
• Proficient in PC applications (Excel/Word).

Responsibilities

• Handle procurement independently.
• Source materials and vendor selection.
• Compare quotations, analyze prices and negotiate with vendors.
• Prepare purchase contracts and purchase orders.
• Coordinate with project team for construction material ordering.
• Coordinate transportation with suppliers.
• Handle ad hoc projects as assigned by manager.

Position: Procurement Officer (Site Based)

Responsibilities:

• Handle the procurement affairs independently

• Responsible for material sourcing and vendor selection;

• Handle quotation comparison/analysis and price negotiation with vendors;

• Prepare purchase contract document, purchase order etc.;

• Work closely with construction project team for construction material ordering

• Co-ordinate with supplier/individual site for arrangement of transportation.

• Handle ad hoc projects assigned by manager

Requirements:

• Diploma or above;

• 2-3 years or above relevant experience in construction industry;

• Good command of written and spoken English, Chinese & Mandarin;

• Proficient in PC applications (e.g. Excel, Words or etc.);

• Proactive and able to work under pressure;

• Good interpersonal, strong communication and negotiation skills;

• Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Procurement Officer.
