Job summary

HKBN is seeking an Assistant Manager - System Infrastructure to oversee data center infrastructure, guide release planning, and lead the infrastructure team in daily operations.

You will coordinate with security and network teams, prepare technical documentation, and ensure high service availability while driving improvements in the production environment. A CS degree and 3+ years in system support are expected.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Computer Science or related disciplines.
• 3+ years of experience in system support and infrastructure planning.
• Solid experience in Linux, DNS, DHCP, SAN and TCP/IP.
• Knowledge of Mail Server (SMTP/POP3/IMAP) and VMware virtualization.
• Experience with next-generation firewall policies and baseline security maintenance.
• Must be a team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining a high level of service availability in data centers through system infrastructure management and release planning.
• Lead daily infrastructure and server support, and provide incident/troubleshooting support.
• Coordinate with internal and external parties for new project implementations.
• Provide technical documentation and manuals related to infrastructure and servers.
• Collaborate with Information Security and network teams to apply security measures in infrastructure.
• Identify areas for improvement and add functionality to production environments.

About the role

• Assist to maintain a high level of service availability in data center by managing and reviewing system infrastructure, including hardware and software release update planning
• Lead system infrastructure team on daily infrastructure and server support, and provide support on incident and trouble shooting
• Coordinate with other internal and external parties for the implementation of new project
• Provide technical documentation, manuals related to infrastructure and server
• Work with Information Security team and network team to adapt necessary security measure in infrastructure
• Identify areas of improvement and bring added functionality to the production environment

About You

• Degree holder in Computer Science or related disciplines
• 3 years or more related experiences in system support and infrastructure planning
• Solid experience in Linux, DNS, DHCP, SAN and TCP/IP
• Knowledge in Mail Server (SMTP/POP3/IMAP) and Server Virtualization (VMware)
• Knowledge in Next generation firewall with firewall policy & base line security maintenance
• Strong sense of responsibility, quality service and customer oriented
• Strong facilitation skills with different stakeholders and technical teams
• A good team player and able to work independently and under pressure
• Candidate with less experiences will be considered as Senior System Engineer II
