Job summary

Airport Authority Hong Kong seeks an experienced IT Project Manager for a fixed-term contract of at least two years. The role centers on leading requirements assessment, design, development, and deployment of mission-critical display systems, while coordinating internal teams and external contractors.

Strong PM background and technical proficiency are required. The ideal candidate holds a degree in IT/CS, with 6+ years in project management, and PMP/ITIL certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT/CS or related discipline.
• 6+ years of relevant experience with at least 4 years in project management.
• PMP and/or ITIL certification preferred.
• Experience with large-scale, mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager to perform requirements assessment, solution design, development, implementation, quality assurance and production commissioning.
• Develop user requirements specification, functional design and specifications based on business requirements.
• Provide technical support in collaboration with IT and Technical Services colleagues on the area related to display system.
• Develop project implementation plans and work breakdown structure and manage data, reports and related information to facilitate project administration and contract compliance.
• Perform project support/administration to assist in meeting agreed project objectives, service delivery standards and timelines, stakeholder expectations and user requirement.
• Manage internal developers and external contractors to ensure delivery of quality solutions that effectively address the business needs and to ensure the industrial standards and best practices are implemented in the development activities, including documentation, design, programming, testing, installation and implementation.
• Supervise the contractors and solution provider on performing FAT, SAT and UAT.
• Ensure smooth system operations by providing instructions and expert advice to first level support staff.
• Liaise with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, contractors, suppliers in relation to planning, project/program management and support functions.
• Perform additional duties from time to time, as required by management.

Requirements

• Degree holder in Information Technology, Computer Science or related disciplines
• A minimum of 6 years' relevant working experience in which at least 4 years' experience in Project Management
• Possession of Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and / or ITIL certification is preferred
• Proven application development and support experience in large scale, mission critical systems
• Expert level skills in Windows, UNIX and Linux, major DBMS (such as Oracle, DB2 and Microsoft SQL servers) and related development tools such as C/C++ and J2EE
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with all levels of the organization
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
