Job summary

AsiaWorld-Expo Management Limited seeks a senior Venue Operations leader to build and guide a high-performing team of staff, contractors, and service partners, delivering safe, seamless and exceptional venue experiences for events.

You will manage budgets, coordinate logistics, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining confidentiality and strong stakeholder engagement across internal teams, event organisers, and guests.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of work experience, including 8+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience in venue operations within MICE or entertainment industries is highly desirable.
• Strategic, analytical leader with strong people management and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin).

• Lead emergency preparedness and incident management to ensure business continuity.
• Take on ad-hoc assignments as needed.

• Drive the smooth and safe operation of the venue, ensuring world-class support for events, guests, and stakeholders.
• Champion service excellence by strategically managing resources, logistics, contractors, and service partners to support business and event requirements, ensuring outstanding operational outcomes through effective planning and execution.
• Build strong partnerships with internal teams, event organisers, and external stakeholders to support business success and driving operational excellence.
• Manage budgets, monitor performance, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Lead emergency preparedness and incident management to ensure business continuity.
• Any ad-hoc assignments.

Requirements

• Degree holder in Property Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline. At least 15 years working experience, including 8 years in a managerial or leadership role. Proven experience in venue operations, with solid exposure to the MICE and entertainment industries being highly desirable.
• Strategic and analytical leader with strong people management, stakeholder engagement, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• A resilient and composed leader with the ability to excel in a complex, fast-paced environment and manage sensitive information with absolute confidentiality and trust.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Mandarin.
