About The Role

As an Assistant Financial Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall financial integrity, compliance, and performance of the hotel while providing strategic financial leadership to support business objectives and drive sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Report Area Financial Controller to oversee the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to Owning company and management company, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies
  • Ensure compliance with government reporting requirements
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures set up the Owning company and/or Management Company
  • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures for the hotel
  • In partnership with Finance Shared Services Centre, maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, payroll, and petty cash
  • Oversee the hotel's budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets, and business drivers
  • Work with department heads to plan and manage hotel operational budgets and conduct reviews to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the hotel's assets
  • Liaise with external auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out
  • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the hotel
  • Analyze cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide business leaders
  • Analyze financial statements to pinpoint potential weak areas
  • Any other ad-hoc business assignments as assigned by supervisors
About You
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA, CMA, CGA)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Hospitality Finance and at least 2 years in a managerial role
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
  • Experience of ERPs like ORACLE, SAP and SUN will be a plus
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese
