CYCMOTOR is expanding its Hong Kong team and seeks an experienced Assistant Accountant to manage a full set of accounts, perform monthly closures, and deliver accurate financial reports for internal stakeholders and external advisers.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 3–5 years of experience, and strong Excel skills. HKFRS knowledge and Odoo familiarity are advantageous for this position based in Hong Kong.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; HKICPA/ACCA/CPA preferred.
• 3–5 years of accounting and financial-reporting experience.
• Independent handling of full set of accounts and closing processes.
• Strong Excel; high attention to detail and numerical problem-solving.
• Knowledge of HKFRS/IFRS or comparable standards.
• Experience with Odoo is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Handle the full set of accounts, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transactions.

Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, reconciliations, schedules, and supporting analyses accurately and on time.

Support month-end and year-end closing, statutory audits, tax-related work, and requests from external professional advisers.

Analyse financial performance and variances against budget, forecast, and prior periods. Prepare clear reports and provide practical financial insights to management.

Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documentation, and assist with strengthening internal controls and finance procedures.

Collaborate with cross-functional departments to gather data and create compelling presentation materials for the management, investors, financial institutions, and key stakeholders.

Support financial reporting, annual audits, due diligence processes, and corporate governance initiatives as required.

Participate in ERP or accounting-system improvement, upgrade, implementation, migration, testing, or process-automation projects where applicable.

Perform ad hoc finance assignments and projects as required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Professional qualification or progress toward HKICPA, ACCA, CPA Australia, CIMA, or equivalent is preferred.

At least 3–5 years of relevant accounting and financial-reporting experience. Candidates with less experience may be considered as Assistant Accountant.

Proven ability to independently handle a full set of accounts and support monthly and annual closing processes.

Strong analytical, numerical, problem-solving, and Excel skills, with high attention to detail.

Good knowledge of HKFRS, IFRS, or comparable accounting standards.

Experience with Odoo is an advantage.

Responsible, well organised, able to meet deadlines, and capable of working independently and collaboratively.

Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Putonghua is an advantage.
