Job summary

CYCMOTOR is expanding its Hong Kong team and seeks an experienced Assistant Accountant to manage a full set of accounts, perform monthly closures, and deliver accurate financial reports for internal stakeholders and external advisers.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 3–5 years of experience, and strong Excel skills. HKFRS knowledge and Odoo familiarity are advantageous for this position based in Hong Kong.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; HKICPA/ACCA/CPA preferred.
• 3–5 years of accounting and financial-reporting experience.
• Independent handling of full set of accounts and closing processes.
• Strong Excel; high attention to detail and numerical problem-solving.
• Knowledge of HKFRS/IFRS or comparable standards.
• Experience with Odoo is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Handle the full set of accounts including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, reconciliations, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transactions.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, reconciliations, schedules, and analyses on time.
• Support month-end and year-end closing, statutory audits, tax work, and external adviser requests.
• Analyze financial performance and variances against budget/forecast; provide management with actionable insights.
• Maintain proper accounting records and strengthen internal controls and finance procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to gather data and create presentation materials for management, investors, and stakeholders.
• Support financial reporting, annual audits, due diligence and governance initiatives as required.
• Participate in ERP/accounting-system improvement, upgrades, migrations, testing, or process automation projects.
• Perform ad hoc finance assignments and projects as required.
