Job summary

Leadingnation is seeking a Finance Manager / Assistant Finance Manager to oversee core accounting operations and drive digital transformation across financial workflows.

You will lead the accounting team, ensure timely closings, and partner with business, product, and IT teams to refine settlement data exchanges. Strong emphasis on automation using SQL, VBA, and RPA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, or related fields.
• HKICPA / ACCA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• 6+ years of accounting/finance experience, including 2+ years in supervision.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end accounting operations, revenue/cost recognition, expense allocation, and monthly/quarterly/annual closings.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, managing daily tasks, performance, and development.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement automation using RPA, SQL, and Excel Macros/VBA for reporting and settlement workflows.
• Collaborate with internal business, product, and IT teams to refine settlement architecture and data exchange pipelines.
• Maintain relationships with external auditors, banking partners, and regulatory bodies.

Role Overview

We are seeking an agile and tech-savvy Finance Manager / Assistant Finance Manager to oversee our core accounting operations while driving digital transformation across our financial workflows. This role blends full-cycle accounting governance, team leadership, and process automation to bridge business operations with financial systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Operations & Reporting: Oversee end-to-end accounting operations, revenue/cost recognition, expense allocation, and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the accounting team, managing daily task allocation, performance evaluations, and capability building.
• Process Automation & Data Management: Identify operational bottlenecks and implement automation solutions using RPA, SQL, and Excel Macros/VBA to streamline reporting and settlement workflows.
• Business & Finance Integration: Collaborate closely with internal business, product, and IT teams to refine settlement architecture and data exchange pipelines.
• External Stakeholder Management: Maintain key relationships with external auditors, banking partners, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

• Education & Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, or related fields. HKICPA / ACCA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 6 years of relevant accounting/finance experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role. Experience in travel, e-commerce, or high-volume transactional industries is a strong advantage.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands‑on experience with SQL, VBA/Macros, or automation tools (RPA/Python); strong capability in financial data analysis and system integration.
• Accounting Expertise: In‑depth knowledge of Hong Kong Accounting Standards (HKAS) and local tax regulations.
• Languages: Fluent in written and spoken Cantonese and English; conversational Mandarin.
