Job summary

H&Co I Corpag, a professional accountancy firm in Hong Kong, is seeking an Accountant to join our Finance team in Central and Western District. The role focuses on financial accounting and reporting, ensuring accurate records and compliance with standards.

You will prepare ledgers, close monthly books, assist audits, and support management with timely financial information while working both independently and with colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Recognised qualification in accounting or finance (ACCA, HKICPA, CPA or equivalent)
  • 2-4 years of professional accounting experience in financial accounting or reporting roles
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software and general ledger systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other office applications
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles, standards and practices
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise work effectively
  • Excellent numerical accuracy and analytical skills
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills in English and Cantonese. Mandarin is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
  • Professional integrity and commitment to compliance with accounting standards and regulations

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions
  • Record journal entries, reconcile accounts and perform month-end closing procedures
  • Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with applicable accounting standards
  • Reconcile bank statements, supplier invoices and customer accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on a timely basis
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports for management review and regulatory submissions
  • Support external audits by providing documentation and responding to audit queries
  • Maintain organised and secure financial records and documentation
  • Assist with financial analysis and variance investigations as required
  • Perform ad hoc accounting duties and special projects as directed by senior accounting staff

About the role
