Tat Lee Confectionery and Novelty Co Ltd in Hong Kong seeks a Product Designer to lead AI-driven ideation and develop toy and confectionery products for global clients. You will collaborate with design, engineering and factories, translating AI concepts into manufacturable concepts.

Requirements include a Diploma or Bachelor’s in product/industrial design, proficiency with AI tools (ChatGPT, Midjourney, Photoshop, Blender, etc.), strong prompt engineering, and excellent English and Mandarin

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Visual Design, Animation, Digital Media, AI or related field.
• Proficiency with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, or Adobe Firefly.
• Strong prompt engineering skills and quick adaptation to new AI tech.
• Creativity, product sense and visual judgment; ability to translate ideas into concepts.

Responsabilidades

• Use AI tools for product ideation and creative design.
• Develop and iterate toys and confectionery concepts for international clients.
• Collaborate with engineers, development teams and factories on 3D design and prototyping.
• Transform AI-generated concepts into manufacturable products and packaging.
• Visit factories as needed to coordinate product development.
• Explore new AI/AIGC tools to improve workflow and output.

Key Responsibilities

• Use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, and Adobe Firefly for product ideation and creative design.
• Apply Prompt Engineering to rapidly generate and refine product concepts, forms, packaging designs, and product series.
• Develop and iterate products based on overseas customer requirements and communicate directly with international clients.
• Participate in the creative development of licensed IP products, including Disney, Star Wars, Marvel, Barbie, Minions, Bluey, and Hello Kitty.
• Transform AI-generated concepts into practical, commercially viable, and manufacturable product solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers, product development teams, and factories on 3D design, 3D printing, prototyping, product modifications, and mass production.
• Occasionally visit factories for product development and engineering coordination when required.
• Continuously explore new AI and AIGC tools and improve the company’s product development workflow.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Visual Design, Animation, Digital Media, AI, or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in one or more AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, and Adobe Firefly.
• Strong Prompt Engineering skills and the ability to quickly learn and apply new AI technologies.
• Strong creativity, product sense, and visual aesthetic judgment.
• Ability to transform AI-generated ideas into practical and executable product concepts.
• Good command of English and Mandarin, with the ability to communicate product concepts and requirements clearly with international clients.
• Experience in toys, confectionery, FMCG, packaging, licensed IP products, or product development is an advantage.
• Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, Blender, or other 3D design tools is an advantage.
• An AIGC portfolio, AI product design experience, or experience working with overseas clients is preferred.
