We currently have an exciting opportunity for Level 3 Teaching Assistants to join our fantastic team at MEA Central
These are Grade 4, permanent posts working 35 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days. The full time equivalent starting salary is £25,584. The pro-rata salary is £22,005.
We’re looking for:
An experienced Teaching Assistant ideally with NVQ L3 qualification or higher, or equivalent experience. You will also need to have aandexcellent numeracy and literacy skills, qualified to level 2 or equivalent/higher. You will be able to attend to children's personal needs, including pastoral, social, health, physical hygiene, minor first aid and welfare matters.
You will demonstrate a commitment to appropriate professional standards, including core policies relating to equality and diversity and child protection. You will require empathy and tact to build excellent interpersonal relationships with all stakeholders and embrace acollaborative approach focused on improvement and supporting the vision, values and objectives of the school.
Main purpose of the job:
To work collaboratively with all staff and parents to support pupil wellbeing and provide support in addressing the needs of pupils who require particular help to overcome barriers to learning. You will support access to learning and provide general support for the school in the management of pupils and resources, as directed by senior staff and ensure strategic processes are complied with in order to overcome barriers to learning, including e.g behaviour management strategies.
