A global energy company seeks a subject matter expert in energy use in transport to join its Economics and Energy Insights team. The successful candidate will lead forecasts for energy demand in transport sectors, analyze decarbonization strategies, and communicate insights effectively. Required qualifications include a degree in Economics or Engineering, significant experience in energy markets, and strong analytical skills. It is an exciting opportunity to join bp as a subject matter expert on energy use in transport in the Economics and Energy Insights (EEI) team. In this role, you will need to understand and be able to communicate the key drivers of demand within the transport sectors and the energy sources and technologies used. You will lead the forecasts for energy demand and the make-up of the fleet for road, aviation marine and rail, as well as the path to decarbonization in these sectors. You will also be responsible for contributing to EEI's wider accountabilities to lead analysis into the future of the global energy system and generate insights to inform and guide bp's strategy and decision making.
