A leading recruitment firm is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer in Willenhall, UK to deliver high-quality designs for regulated sectors such as Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in building services design, especially within high-regulated projects. Responsibilities include producing detailed electrical designs and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Familiarity with Trimble, AutoCAD, and the ability to coordinate with clients are required for this role.
Qualifications
Proven experience in electrical building services design.
Experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare cleanroom or high regulated projects.
Strong knowledge of safety procedures and risk assessments.

Title: Electrical Design Engineer
Duration: Permanent or Contract (Inside IR35)
Location: Greater Manchester
Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to deliver high‑quality designs for clients in regulated sectors including Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare and Food & Drink.
Responsibilities
Produce electrical designs from concept to detailed design, including commissioning support.
Deliver compliant designs for GMP and ISO 14644 facilities (labs, cleanrooms, manufacturing).
Create detailed layouts, sizing, selection and routing for electrical systems with REVIT/Trimble support.
Design and coordinate key systems: HV/LV switchgear, submains, power & lighting, data/Wi‑Fi, fire alarms, CCTV/access control, BMS/EMS, earthing and external duct routes.
Support procurement (quotations, schedules) and planning activities.
Attend client meetings and site surveys.
Ensure all work meets SHE, CDM and ISO 9001 standards.
Work as part of a multi‑discipline team and support junior engineers.
Requirements
HNC or equivalent in Building Services or related.
Proven experience in electrical building services design.
Experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare cleanroom or high regulated projects.
Strong knowledge of CDM, safety procedures and risk assessments.
Proficient with Trimble/ElecOM, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
Strong coordination, communication and client‑facing skills.
