Qualifications

• At least 5+ years' experience on telecommunication networks.
• Travel by car and/or plane 20%+ of the time, remote office the rest of the time.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for fiber optics network field activity.
• Implementation of long haul and metro network augmentation.
• Work with Network Planning to provide Field perspective for network deployment.
• Organize projects with contractors and internal staff.

Skills

Working knowledge on telecom infrastructure

Problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Interpersonal skills

Field experience in DWDM/SDH/IP networks

Experience managing vendors and carriers

Education

Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience

Tools

Optical test equipment: power meters, OTDRs, OSAs
