Job position: Senior Events Manager (1 year maternity cover contract)

The Opportunity Our marketing team is looking for a creative and organised senior events manager to lead our global marketing events program to generate leads from new and existing customers and build brand awareness. From planning, through design and to ultimate delivery, you will be responsible for making every event a success. This is a one-year contract covering a maternity break. The job requires persistence, strategic acumen, and creativity. Key responsibilities:

1. Plan, design and deliver complex B2B marketing events with C-level stakeholders.
2. End-to-end event management including agreeing objectives and attendance lists with stakeholders, negotiating with suppliers, coordinating logistics and working with faculty and others to design high quality event content.
3. Keep internal stakeholders up to date and provide detailed briefing documents for event speakers and attendees.
4. Ensure maximum awareness is generated from events, and develop engaging communications for the event including invitation, reminder and follow up emails for guests and social media posts.
5. Perform post event analysis and follow up to understand impact, ROI and comparison to goals for continued improvement.

The skills & experience we look for:

1. At least 5 years’ experience of all aspects of running B2B events in complex organizations.
2. Strong relational skills, influencing skills and presence with senior executives.
3. Exceptional communication skills.
4. A bias towards action, you enjoy acting with urgency, able to identify and remove barriers, you are focused on results.
5. You are highly creative and equally analytical – success comes from the combination.
6. A Bachelor degree is preferred.
7. Experience working in education and/or with HR stakeholders is a plus.
8. Knowledge of Salesforce, Pardot and Marketing Cloud is a plus.
