Job Details
  • Job Title: Occupational Therapist
  • Location: Newbarn School and residential homes, Berkshire RG20 8HZ
  • Salary: GBP50k+ (pro rata, DOE) plus GBP5000 Welcome Bonus (payable as GBP2,500 after one month and GBP2,500 upon final probation; T&Cs apply)
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday
  • Contract: Permanent, Term Time only
  • Essential: Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle

About the Role

Are you a clinician eager to work during times of transformative change? Do you have a keen interest in neurodiversity (Autism, ADHD), complex trauma, and needs? Want to contribute to creating a nationally important resource backed by a leading provider of education and care for young people with SEN? If so, this role is for you!

The post involves progressing OT-specific therapeutic services for individuals with varying needs, many diagnosed with autism and related challenges. Needs are complex and require a systemic, formulation-based approach.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team including Speech and Language Therapists, Psychotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and other professionals, adopting a holistic and integrated approach to care, education, and clinical services.

Essential Criteria
  • Relevant OT qualification
  • Registered with HCPC and RCSLT or RCOT
  • Experience working with children and/or adults with intellectual disabilities, autism, and additional needs

  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car
