A leading engineering firm in the City of London is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to diagnose and resolve automation and mechanical issues. The ideal candidate will have an electrical bias, ideally with FMCG industry experience. Responsibilities include delivering continuous improvements and maintaining safety standards. Skills
Education
Salary: Up to £60,290 per annum - DOE
Hours: 42 hours per week 4 on / 4 off alternating days and nights
Shifts: One week of days followed by one week of nights
- Diagnose and resolve automation, electrical, and mechanical issues during breakdowns.
- Deliver continuous improvement projects on site.
- Implement engineering strategies consistently and efficiently.
- Complete improvement projects on time and within budget.
- Support site performance by focusing on KPIs such as OEE and CCOs.
- Maintain high standards of safe working practices.
- Provide training and coaching to operators and junior engineers.
- Must be apprenticeship-trained (time‑served) with an electrical bias, supported by suitable experience.
- Experience working within the FMCG industry, ideally food manufacturing.
- Strong communication skills and ability to train and coach junior engineers.
- Enthusiastic and motivated, with a drive for continuous improvement.
- Alternatively, C&G 2346‑03 Electro‑technical Experienced Worker qualification.
- HND/HNC qualification and relevant electrical certifications.
