Job description
Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Salary: Up to £60,290 per annum - DOE
Hours: 42 hours per week 4 on / 4 off alternating days and nights
Shifts: One week of days followed by one week of nights

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and resolve automation, electrical, and mechanical issues during breakdowns.
  • Deliver continuous improvement projects on site.
  • Implement engineering strategies consistently and efficiently.
  • Complete improvement projects on time and within budget.
  • Support site performance by focusing on KPIs such as OEE and CCOs.
  • Maintain high standards of safe working practices.
  • Provide training and coaching to operators and junior engineers.
Requirements
  • Must be apprenticeship-trained (time‑served) with an electrical bias, supported by suitable experience.
  • Experience working within the FMCG industry, ideally food manufacturing.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to train and coach junior engineers.
  • Enthusiastic and motivated, with a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Alternatively, C&G 2346‑03 Electro‑technical Experienced Worker qualification.
  • HND/HNC qualification and relevant electrical certifications.
